| Currently my passion is working with
children's drawings and creating charms of heirloom quality. Children's artwork has purity, honesty and a real energy that can be experienced in the drawings and charms. Children love seeing their artwork worn as a piece of jewelry. It shows how much we value them and their creativity.
In creating the charm, I begin with a picture the child has drawn using thick colored markers or crayons. The image is then sized and re-created in the various metals I feel will best express the charm. The most common metals I use are gold, silver and copper; with roller printed textures. These are layered to infuse the charm with rich depth and texture. Then final details such as tiny doorknobs or spokes of a wheel are added for the finishing touches.
